ADVERTISEMENT FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATESHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are invited for Research Associate positions within the renewable energy conversion systems at the developing Centre for Renewable Energy and Power Utilization (CREPU), University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. These positions are strictly reserved for prospective Ph.D. students in pursuit of research that can combine the techno-socio-economic and policy perspectives on one hand and the development of a renewable energy conversion technologies, towards developing a sustainable energy model. The TETFund Sponsored research project is titled.
“Hybrid Conversion of Renewable Energy Potentials into Energy Carriers for Efficient Charging of Electric Vehicles within University of Lagos”.
Eligible candidates must be qualified to be admitted for Ph.D. programme by the School of Postgraduate Studies (see Prospective Student : University of Lagos – School of Postgraduate Studies (spgs.unilag.edu.ng/prospective-student) and obtained willingness for research supervision from members of CREPU in relevant departments at the Faculties of Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Management and Law. Also, these candidates will be encouraged to enrol for a joint Ph.D. degree in collaboration with Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada (see Cotutelle | Current Grad Students (gradstudents.carleton.ca/program-options/cotutelle).

Interested applicants MUST comply with the following criteria:
1. Ensure a CGPA of 4.00/5.00 is obtained at the M.Sc. degree of his/her field of Ph.D.pursuit;
2. Ensure relevant prerequisite courses are offered at the B.Sc. degree;
3. Prepare and submit a 2-page Curriculum Vitae; and
4. Prepare and submit a page Research Proposal, highlighting the proposed research objectives in pursuit of developing the sustainable energy model.
